Hello, I'm Priti Shah
I am a highly self-motivated individual with a keen interest in child development and aspects of community service. I term myself as relatively new to Dubai as I have been here only for seven years. As I have earlier travelled to many countries, I perceived being very open-minded and well versed with different cultures. Being located in India for the whole of my life, I found a new sense of realization after living and interacting with the multi-cultured people of Dubai.
Dubai has enabled me to realize the diverse cultural difference and lent me an opportunity to follow my interest in contributing to society through teaching. I come from a background in the textile industry with an experience of 26 years, on industry known for professionalism, punctuality, interpersonal skills, and precision. A year after I moved to Dubai, I enrolled myself in community service programs like summer camps, social groups, etcetera. This has, in turn, led me to teach ot a fundomentol level. That's when I decided to get into full-time teaching, as it was a field that serves the community, and the joy derived from being with children is un-parallel.
With a mind to get into full-time teaching and in due courses interacting with children's specifically Children of Determination, I realized the urge to work among them. I have done my SEN (KHDA Certified Course), I am currently doing my ABA/RB (KHDA Certified Courses). Along with this, I have also done ROBOTAM! (Robotics program). In the previous job assignment, I have personally taken this program to Dubai-based schools, taught & interacted with students, and was awarded felicitation from MOE. I have attended many programs & seminars to enhance my English/ Math skills, Critical Thinking Capabilities, Vocabulary Skills, Grammar Skills, Comprehending Skills, and the skills to think out of the box for a given situation. I want to teach children in a playful method, where learning comes innovatively and excitingly.
I would like to work on different kinds of LIFE skills with children such as Money Management, Communication Skills, Art & Croft, Writing in Different Fonts, Creative Writing, Working on Experimental Science, Cooking, Organizing day to day work, Gardening, Activities related to Foshion & Textiles, etc.
